Mental Health & Extended Integration
Digital detoxes, silent stays, concentrated clinical work with Alexa, and extended integration after ceremony — for grief, trauma, transition, or the long tail of a profound experience.
Several days of real attention.
Weekly therapy is built for maintenance. Some seasons need more than an hour on a Tuesday: a few days where the phone is off, the meals are handled, and you can sit with a clinician every day until something shifts.
A stay at La Fuente is that. Daily sessions with Alexa — somatic, attachment-based, trauma-informed — inside a quiet house, with the steam bath, the garden, and the mountains doing their share of the work. It can be entirely silent, entirely unplugged, or simply slow.
It is also where extended integration lives. A week or two after a ceremony or a retreat, with a session every day, gives what opened somewhere to land — instead of asking one conversation a month to carry it.

Who this is for
For the person who knows they need more focused care than ordinary life can offer right now.
- Grief that hasn't found a place to go
- Trauma work that needs continuity, not a weekly restart
- A transition — a divorce, a diagnosis, a career ending, a child leaving
- Burnout, and the nervous system that comes with it
- Extended integration in the weeks after a ceremony or retreat — ours or anyone's
- A digital detox or silent stay with clinical support close by
How it unfolds
Three to seven nights, a session every day, and as much silence or structure as you want.
Intake call
A free conversation with Alexa about what's happening and what a few days here could hold. If it isn't the right fit, she'll say so and point you somewhere better.
The stay
A daily session, unhurried mornings, garden meals, and the house to yourself. Bodywork, breathwork, and the steam bath are woven in when they help.
Aftercare
A written summary of the work, a plan for the months ahead, and follow-up sessions online so the ground you gained holds.
What the days hold

Daily sessions
Sixty to ninety minutes with Alexa each day — in the counseling room, or walking the land.

Silence, if you want it
A fully silent stay is available. We manage the practicalities so you don't have to speak.

Off the grid
Leave the phone with us. The pond, the pergola, and the forest are better company for a few days.

Body first
Steam, cold water, massage, and breathwork — the nervous system is easier to reach through the body.

Nourishment
Simple, organic meals, cooked for you — eaten at the long table, or alone on the terrace.

Gentle movement
QiGong and easy movement in the garden with Luke, most mornings.
A stay complements, and never replaces, ongoing care. Alexa will ask about your current treatment and, where it helps, coordinate with your therapist or physician.

Your Guide
Alexandra Ellis
Mental Health Counselor · Integrative Health Coach
A mental health counselor with ten years of clinical practice and a parallel training in integrative and ceremonial work. Alexa's first career was inside the conventional mental health system; she is fluent in it, and clear-eyed about what it can and cannot do.
Her clinical approach is somatic, attachment-based, and trauma-informed. Her integrative approach adds the rest of the human — nutrition, sleep, ritual, season, story. She works with anxiety, grief, identity, transition, trauma, and the long tail of profound experience that traditional therapy is often unequipped to meet. At La Fuente she runs the counseling practice and the integration work that follows every ceremony and retreat.
