Ceremonial cup of the sacred vine
The Medicine

Ancient medicine, held in experienced hands.

This retreat is an invitation to meet the sacred vine of the Amazon — in ceremony, in safety, and in the company of people who have given their lives to this work. Our medicine woman carries fifteen years on the medicine path, trained in the Shipibo and Mesoamerican traditions. Around her stands a team that is both trauma-informed and clinically educated — psychotherapists, an integrative health practitioner, bodyworkers, and musicians — present with you in every moment.

The vine sits inside a whole arc of care: thoughtful preparation in the weeks before you arrive, and real integration support after you leave. Alongside two Vine of the Soul ceremonies, you’ll experience cacao ceremony, the traditional temazcal sweat lodge, and a powerful breathwork journey.

You’ll go home renewed — carrying an education in the indigenous traditions this work belongs to, and a family of new friends who shared it with you.

“Luke and Alexa were intensely supportive and helped to create an atmosphere of acceptance and respect that set the stage for an unparalleled retreat experience. No detail was left unchecked and no need, either individual or group, went unfulfilled. It was an experience I will remember to my dying day.”

Espacio Khungi, Valle de Bravo, Mexico

Our Sanctuary in the hills.

Khungi is a true spiritual sanctuary — inspired by the ancient wisdom of Tibetan Buddhism and Mesoamerican plant-medicine and shamanic traditions. The land and the buildings on it were created with care: every door, window, and table is of original design, crafted on the premises with local lumber, while Tibetan Rinpoches and master elders of multiple medicine lineages oversaw the architectural and construction process — guiding every step with prayer, intention, and permission.

Fifteen en suite cabins — each with its own bathroom and king-size bed — open onto the hills. The grounds hold a geodesic dome ceremony room, a cozy library anchored by an impressive stone fireplace, a generous dining hall, and a traditional temazcal sweat lodge. Natural pools wait for an afternoon swim. Infinite stars wait for the evening.

The weather is kind — sunny and warm by day, temperate and cool at night — and the land itself is a working work of art. Original masterpieces sit in every corner of the sanctuary, threaded through a sculpture garden by world-renowned visionary artist Renato Dorfman. In every sense, an exceptional place to do deep spiritual work.

Words of love.

I came in as a stranger and left feeling like I'd found a chapter of my own family I didn't know I had. The work was deep. The aftercare was deeper.

The ceremonial container at Khungi is the safest I've ever sat in, and I've sat in many. You can feel the years that have gone into building it.

What I didn't expect was how much the tribe itself became the medicine. Six months later we're still in weekly contact. That doesn't happen by accident.
